Thanks to grandma and grandpa, Avagail had some cake today! :)  

She's almost 2 now... and yes, time flies!

I will try to post some pics from her 1 year cake smash later this week.

So, we got SNOW today!!  You will not understand the excitement about this unless you live somewhere that rarely snows... like Oregon. :) 

And, Little Miss Avagail???... she loved it!  This is funny because some of you will remember my story about how she wouldn't touch the snow in November.   And now: she thought it was awesome- especially when I showed her she could eat it.

I realize my blogging has little to do (ever) with photography. lol... but on a photography note: I've never shot in snow before.  I liked it~ it reflected the light quite nicely!! :)  Oh how cooperative you are, Snow.

They say: a picture is worth a thousand words. 

So then, why am I speechless?

Maybe it's because this is how I communicate... through photography. 

Oh, how I love art!  

Soooooo much is (and can be) communicated without words!

.Matilda Jane Clothing's Photo Love Contest.

So.... I entered the Matilda Jane Clothing's Photo Love Contest and was chosen as one of 59 (out of nearly 1,000 entries!) to advance to Round 2!!!!  Here is the photo I entered of, yes, my muse... 

So, you ask, "what happens next?"  Well, they will send me a free dress next week (YAY!!) and I will photograph it however I want (enter Miss Avagail).  Then, they will select their top 10 to advance.  From there, the people will vote on their favorite.  

I can't tell you how ecstatic I am to make the first cut!!!  I will keep you posted with the latest developments.  :)
