So, as I spent my daughter's ENTIRE naptime creating a cute blog header, I realized something. My new blog header reminds me of my laundry room. "what?!" you ask. Well, it's like I told my fb friends the other day~
In our house, we do laundry by the following assortment: lights, darks, and... (wait for it)... pink.
Yes, I always thought I'd have a boy- and we'd catch tree frogs in the mud. But instead (and most wonderfully), I have been drawn into the magical world of pink, sparkles, baby dolls, twirling, giggling and fingernail polish. Welcome to my girly world.
Now, I can't give my daughter all the credit... she is, of course, MY daughter. :)

Walk Down Memory Lane {Albany, Oregon Photographer}
So, the other day, we went on a photo walk. Well, it was more like Avagail walking and me chasing her with the camera. (So, what's new?) Anyway, this is one of my faves from that day. Actually, I have a few and think I might do a story board. Maybe I will post one later...
Anyway, this was MY umbrella growing up. Thanks, Mom, for saving everything. :) I hadn't seen it for years until just recently. And now, Avagail likes to tote it everywhere we go. I am only "allowed" to open it for her.

isn't she SO cute? and you can't even see her face! |
And speaking of a walk down memory lane, check this out from 7 months ago.
Look how small she is!!! ...and she's wearing her very first Matilda Jane (the top).

Testing...1, 2, 3...Testing {Tya Lynn Photography}
Hey- is this thing on?
So, I'm expanding my tent pegs and starting to BLOG. :)
Now you all can see (read) exactly what I am up to.
So, here it goes... Currently, we are still getting settled back into our lives as Oregonians once again. :) Collin & I both love the rain, especially since we didn't see it much at all in Redding. Which reminds me, the first time it rained here in Oregon, Avagail was a little dumb-founded.... then we realized, she has really not seen rain (or clouds, for that matter). LOL! Can you imagine her growing brain trying to figure out the snow that came down a few weeks ago?! :)
Anyway, on the photography front, I am proud to announce that my photography skills are vastly improving as I practice on my very active toddler. For example: in this amazing photo, she is super tired, overdue for her nap, and we shot for 10 minutes (inside, low light, with a reflector). Not bad, right? :) She's such a perfect muse.
